While you’re picking that up, check out the progress of the new liner. The installation is somewhat ahead of schedule.
Parents and swimmers:
Due to circumstances out of our control, practices will not be able to start on June 1st as anticipated. There has been a delay in the replacement of the pool liner.
At this time, we are still meeting at the pool on June 1st to hand out fundraiser cards and picture packets. Please stop by between 12-1 pm or 6-7 pm. If neither time will work for you, please let us know and we will make accommodations. Photos will still be at the pool on June 6th @ 5 pm.
We have been given the date of June 8th by the town council for the opening of the pool. Our goal is to begin practices Monday, June 13th, regular times. We are currently working on rescheduling the first 2 home meets as well. The Barracudas committee will do our best to keep everyone informed of any and all changes as soon as they are known.

Swim suit try-ons & purchase will take place in the High school commons on Wednesday May 11th from 5 PM – 6:30 PM. Poco Loco will be onsite to answer questions and complete your purchase. They will also make available additional swim accessories & practice suits.
You may also turn in your 2016 registration(s) & T-shirt orders. T-shirt orders are due by the end of day on May 11. The deadline to turn in registration is Saturday May 28th.
Reminder…
The swim clinic for new swimmers is scheduled for this Saturday from 1pm – 2:30pm at The Y. This is for new swimmers and those 8 & under. Have your swimmers in the pool sometime during that time frame. Coaches will be onsite to assist and answer any questions to help you deterime if your new young swimmer is ready for the swim team.
Member(s) of the committee will also be around so you may turn in your registration, payment, or t-shirt orders.
The stroke judging clinic that was scheduled at the same time has been canceled due to lack of interest/signup.
There will be a Swim/Dive parent meeting for the 2016 season on Tuesday April 5 from 7P-8P in the High School Library.
Information will be provided about the 2016 season, meet the 2016 committee members, coaches, pick up/turn in forms, and pre-sign up for volunteer jobs.
On-line job sign up will be turned on Thursday April 7th. This is your opportunity to sign up early.
2016 Forms are available and be downloaded from the “Forms” link on this website. They can also be found on the Team Unify website as well.

The New Bremen Barracudas summer swim team is looking for two assistant swim coaches. This is a paid position that requires attending swim meets in the evening and approximately 4 hours of morning practice Monday through Friday.
If you have previous coaching experience, or swim experience and want to coach, please contact Cresta Ritter at 567-644-6338 for further information.
The Assistant Dive coaching position is still open. This is also a paid position. All completed applications can be dropped off at the New Bremen Village Offices.
Save the following dates. April 5, May 7, & May 11.
On April 5 the informational parents meeting will take place in the High School Library at 7:00 PM. Information will be provided about the 2016 season, you will meet the committee members & coaches, you can turn in your registration & t-shirt order forms and early sign up for jobs.
May 7th at The Y will be a swim clinic for any new swimmers. If you are unsure if your child is ready for the swim team then this clinic is for them. Coaches will be on site to assist you & your young swimmer. The time is tentatively set to begin at 1:00 PM, however the start time could change
Also on May 7th at the same time as the swim clinic, we are working on scheduling a stroke judging clinic. Once details are finalized we will let you know.
On May 11 in the High School Commons from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM swim suit try-on will take place. You do not have to purchase a team swim suit. However Poco Loco will be on site and will have available various items for your swimmer and/or diver. They will also have marked down swim suits that can be used for practice, or at the pool or beach!
