Pentathlon Sign Up

The Celina Pentathlon is scheduled for Saturday June 23. If you would like to swim in this event, please let Coach Hannah know as well as turn in $5 to her.

There is a $5 fee for swimmers to enter the Pentathlon. The Barracudas will gladly pay the $5 fee. Once you show up for the event on June 23, you will get your $5 back. In previous years there were a number of swimmers telling us that they would be there, we paid their entry fee, then there were several no shows.

Bottom line is if you want to swim in the Pentathlon:

  • Give Coach Hannah $5 by the end of practice on Friday June 15
  • You will get your $5 back after the Pentathlon is over provided you show up to swim

Corrected T-Shirt Order Forms

There was an omission discovered on the t-shirt order form that you were given if you attended the parents meeting on Tuesday April 3.  That omission is that there were no youth sizes shown on the form.

Doh!

A corrected T-shirt order form has been uploaded to the “Forms” page on this website.  Please use that for any orders. You may still use an old form if you like, but please CLEARLY indicate any Youth or Adult size shirts that you order.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Lindsay’s Law

As many of you are aware, last August the state legislators passed Senate Bill 252, known as Lindsay’s Law. The law requires all youth athletes, parents/guardians, and coaches to annually complete a set of requirements prior to participating in any organized sports activity, including youth sports organizations like our swim & dive team.

Lindsay’s Law is about Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) in youth athletes who are 19 years or younger who practice for or compete in athletic activities.

In addition to filling out & returning the required medical form each parent/guardian must also fill out and return a Lindsay’s Law signature form ALONG WITH THE ATHLETE.

Additionally the parent/guardian is also required to watch a short video (16:30 in length) prior to signing & returning the Lindsay’s Law signature form.

The parent/guardian will also receive a handout on Sudden Cardiac Arrest & Lindsay’s Law.

PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO & TURN IN YOUR REQUIRED MEDICAL FORM ALONG WITH THE REQUIRED LINDSAY’S LAW SIGNATURE FORM BY FRIDAY MAY 25TH.
